Transparent Moment

John 10:27

My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.

Sometimes I wonder if I’m really hearing God’s voice. I think that’s part of this season — learning to recognize when He is speaking.

The beautiful thing is that He gently reminds me in the smallest ways that He is near and that He is speaking.

Last night, I was reading The Courts of Heaven and came across a section about how we are to be His house of prayer. Then this morning, during worship, the song ‘Make Me a House of Prayer’ began to play.

Coincidence? I don’t believe so.

For me, it was another gentle whisper from the Father, confirming what He has been stirring in my heart. He isn’t just calling us to attend a house of prayer, He’s calling us to be a house of prayer. A people marked by His presence, devoted to communion with Him, and surrendered to His will.

I’m learning that God’s voice isn’t always loud. Often, it’s found in the quiet confirmations, repeated themes, Scripture, worship, and the gentle nudges of the Holy Spirit.

If you’ve ever wondered whether God is speaking to you, keep seeking Him. He is faithful to make His voice known to those who draw near.

Prayer

Father, thank You for being a God who speaks. Open my ears to recognize Your voice in the quiet moments, the repeated themes, the Scripture, and the worship. Help me not just to attend a house of prayer, but to become one. Draw me near, and let me follow You faithfully.

Reflect

  • 1.What small confirmations has God placed in your life recently?
  • 2.How can you create more space to hear His voice in the quiet?
  • 3.In what area of your life is He inviting you to become a house of prayer?
