When You Feel Forgotten

Isaiah 62:4

No longer will they call you Deserted, or name your land Desolate. But you will be called Hephzibah… for the Lord will take delight in you.

There are seasons where heaven feels quiet and your prayers feel like they’re hitting the ceiling. You wonder if God sees, if He remembers, if He still cares about the small details of your life.

Sister, hear this gently: you have not been forgotten. The same God who numbers the stars knows the number of hairs on your head. The same voice that spoke galaxies into being whispers your name with delight.

Hephzibah means ‘My delight is in her.’ It is not a name you earn through performance. It is a name God chooses to call you because of who He is — faithful, tender, and near.

Prayer

Father, when I feel unseen, remind me that I am Your delight. Quiet the lies that say I’ve been forgotten and let me hear You whisper my name today.

Reflect

  • 1.Where in your life do you feel most overlooked right now?
  • 2.What would change if you truly believed God delighted in you in that very place?
